Veterans Committee Update and Open House Date Correction

An older blog post was accidentally sent out yesterday. This is the current post and photos for the Veteran’s Committee.

Sorry for any confusion,

Melissa

In case you didn’t know the veteran’s committee has been delivering many quilts during the last few months.  We have cleared up all of the older names on the list but have just about run out of quilts.  So far, since we started we have delivered around 250 quilts to veterans in our area.  That is quite an accomplishment.
In the meantime, we have added 30+ names to the list.  A few weeks ago 6 of us met in Siletz and had a sew in.  We have gotten several new tops made but are really suffering from not having people who are able to quilt the tops.  We have relied on a few members to do a lot of the quilting but were hoping we could find a few more people who would be willing to help.  They do not have to have fancy quilting done on them and don’t need to be done on a longarm.  Most of the quilts are a large throw size which is doable on a regular machine.  I have done several myself.  We will provide you with the backing and the batting.  We will even pick up and deliver if you can help us out.  Contact any of us on the committee, Rose Shaw, Cheryl Kramer, Twy Hoch, Betty Wilson or Ginger Dale
