Community Quilters & Fall Quilts Needed

Fall Quilts Needed for Recreation Center

Reminder!!!

I will be returning your Patriotic quilts at the September guild meeting and will be needing Fall and Halloween quilts.  Please be sure they have a name and hanging sleeve on them.  Bring them to me at the September guild meeting.  The next round will be in October and will be Thanksgiving and Christmas which will stay up until the Jan 2019 guild meeting.

Attention Community Quilters!  (That’s ALL guild members)

After our break during the quilt show, we are back with the creative juices flowing.  We have some exciting new projects to work on at our next 1st Thursday.  You don’t want to miss this time!  You don’t need to bring anything other than your ideas and opinions, and I know that will not be too big a challenge for many of us.  We always have a great time, but we’re winding up the fun meter next month!  So come and join us at Ruth’s Family Fabrics on September 6 from 10 to 2.  You can come and go as you like, bring your lunch or pick up something from Subway, Chubbys, etc.

I also want to thank all the guild members who answered my call for tote bags for our event at Seashore Family Literacy taking place this week.  Each bag will be filled with a community quilt, a book or two, and info about our guild and quilt care.  Elizabeth Wood is spearheading this project, working with Seashore’s director, Sentilla McKenzie.  Thanks to Elizabeth, and to all of you “tote makers.”  We have enough for this presentation, but this will be an ongoing thing, so please keep making totes so we don’t face an urgent situation in the future!  I am ever amazed at the response when our membership is made aware of a need –  cudos to all of you.
