You can still drop off or pickup anything you need for a community quilt.

WE WILL HAVE BLOCK KITS, TOP KITS, BATTING, BACKING AND FABRIC IF YOU NEED SOME TO COMPLETE A QUILT.  PLEASE STOP BY BETWEEN 10AM AND 2PM AND SEE HOW YOU CAN HELP OUT.
HERE ARE A FEW GUIDELINES WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW. FIRST, IF YOU FIND YOU CAN’T FINISH THE TOP OR YOU NEED MORE FABRIC TO COMPLETE YOUR TOP, PLEASE CALL TWY HOCH. 541-961-6431. TWY CAN ARRANGE FOR YOU TO RETURN WHAT YOU HAVE DONE OR MEET YOU TO GET MORE FABRIC. YOU HAVE RECEIVED A VARIETY OF BLOCKS, PANELS AND EXTRA FABRIC. YOU DON’T HAVE TO USE ALL OF THE BLOCKS OR EVEN THE PANEL. WE JUST ASK THAT YOU REURN ANY UNUSED FABRIC, ETC. WITH THE TOP SO WE CAN USE IT ELSEWHERE.
THE QUILT TOP SHOULD MEASURE SOMEWHERE AROUND 60’ WIDE BY 72’ LONG. MANY OF OUR VETS SLEEP IN RECLINERS AND WE WANT THEM TO STAY WARM, WITHOUT THEIR TOES HANGING OUT. ALSO, IF YOU HAVE PETS WHO LIKE TO SLEEP ON YOUR PROJECTS IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU CAN USE A LINT ROLLER ON IT OR THROW IT IN THE DRYER FOR A FEW MINUTES. ALSO, SOME OF OUR QUILTERS HAVE ASKED THAT YOU STAYSTITCH AROUND THE EDGE OF THE QUILT TO STABILIZE THE SEAMS DURING QUILTING.
THE DESIGN OF YOUR TOP IS UP TO YOU, THEY DON’T HAVE TO BE A MASTERPIECE BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THESE ARE GIVEN TO HONOR OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN SO MAKE IT SOMETHING WORTHY OF THEM. SO FAR EVERY ONE HAS DONE A WONDERFUL JOB. WE CAN’T THANK ALL OF YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR HELP!!

YOU CAN RETURN YOUR TOP TO ANY OF THE GROUP MEMBERS OR BRING TO THE FIRST THURSDAY IN WALDPORT.

HERE IS A PICTURE OF A QUILT THAT WAS DROPPED OFF THIS LAST WEEK –
Thanks, Ginger Dale

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover (and quilt!)
