Community Quilters Update

The November 7th Community Quilters meeting has been moved to Thursday, October 31st. We will be meeting at St Luke’s Episcopal Church from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Tasks to be completed at this meeting:

    • Take an inventory of quilts;
    • Attach sheet covers to shelves;
    • Pull out fat quarters, half-yard cuts, and solids to bring to general meeting;
    • Sort 1-yard cuts to go to ARC Thrift Store.

Anyone can come to help or to pick up fabric!

Finishing School

Finishing School will be meeting on October 24 from 10 to 3:30 at the Carriage House at the Lincoln County Historical Museum, 545 SW 9th St, Newport.

It is a great time to work on a project without being  interrupted. You may bring your machine or hand work. We will have an iron there for you to use. You may come at any time and stay as long as you like. Bring a sack lunch or go out — whatever you would rather do.

It is also a great way to get to know other Guild members and get help on a project that you need advice on. Fun time is had by all.

Quilting Frame for Sale

I bought this Grace Cutie Table Top Frame last year at the quilt show. I used it for one quilt and then realized it won’t work with the size of quilts made with the machine I can use. It includes everything you need to use it, including a speed controller.  You can use any domestic sewing machine. 

Call or text if you have any questions.  Great birthday, anniversary, or Christmas gift!!!!  $400 takes all.
