VENDOR COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Do you enjoy shopping at the wonderful vendor stalls at our quilt show? Over the past number of years, our great vendor committee (Janet Baldwin, Rose Shaw, and Evelyn DePaolo) has lined up those vendors and supported them during the show. Now the committee is taking a well-earned rest, so we need 3-4 members to take on this rewarding task.

Janet and her committee have written very clear and helpful directions and suggestions, and they are standing by to answer questions. Initial invitations to vendors past and future should be sent out soon, so the time to sign up is now!

Round up a few friends and let Jackie Stankey, Darcy de la Rosa, and Jean Amundson know that you’re ready to roll! Many thanks from your 2019 “Quilts by the Sea” co-chairs.

CAR KEYS FOUND:

Jean Amundson somehow ended up with a key to a Honda automobile, owner unknown/lost in the mists of her mind. She doesn’t have a Honda and would love to reunite the key and the car.

FINISHING SCHOOL:

Finishing School will be meeting on October 25 from 10 to 4  at the Carriage House at the Lincoln County Historical Museum at 545 SW 9th St, Newport. It is a great time to work on a project without being interrupted. You may bring your machine or hand work we will have an iron there for you to use. You may come at any time and stay as long as you like. Bring a sack lunch or go out what ever you would rather do. It is also a great way to get to know other guild members and get help on a project that you need advice on. Fun time is had by all. This will be the last one for this year. We will start up again in January.

OREGON STATE FAIR

The Bayshore Quilters hosted a demonstration booth at the fair.  Various quilting techniques were shown to the fair attendees and lively conversation between the quilters and the public made for an interesting day.
