Votes for Women Challenge and Veteran’s Quilt Block Packets
Votes for Women Challenge
The “Votes for Women” challenges are due no later than Thursday, June 11. Please send a digital photo, your name, and the name of the quilt to Nan Scott with a copy to Velma Freudenthal and Jean Amundson.
Although we can’t display them at our quilt show, we’ll have a virtual display on the guild website and links and articles to a number of other venues and media opportunities. Our members will vote for their first, second, and third place favorites. I hope you’ll all finish your quilts and be part of the 100th anniversary celebration of our precious and significant right to vote!
These lovely photos are of Toni Brodie’s yard.
Veteran’s Quilt Block Packets
We are still making up Veteran quilt block packets every month. June Veteran’s blocks are available for pick up at Ruth’s family Fabrics and Quilter’s Cove. Please be sure to stop by and pick one up. If you have a completed block from May, you can drop it off at the same time. We are continuing to make and present Veteran’s quilts even in the midst of all our “stay at home’ and “social distancing” orders by doing porch drop presentations. Our veterans list is still too long and our quilt supply is dwindling! Thank you to all who are finishing blocks and then making quilts from the block sets.

No Quilt Show Due to Coronavirus
Due to the Coronavirus restrictions, there will not be a quilt show in 2020. Keep quilting so that we’ll have a spectacular show in 2021!
