Small Quilts Displayed at Newport Library
Don’t miss it!
During July, the Newport Public Library is displaying 16 quilts made by OCQG members for the quilt show small quilt auction. Library visitors are invited to view the quilts and vote for a favorite. The person who made the auction quilt that received the most votes at the library will be able to designate a nonprofit to receive $50 from the guild. Library staff have remarked that both staff and patrons are enjoying the quilts.
After the display is taken down, the quilts will travel to the Newport Recreation Center, where they and many more will be (silently) auctioned as part of our annual show. Half the proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to a local nonprofit organization that will be chosen at the July general meeting.
