January Class: Glorious Sweatshirt Jackets!
Gloria Zirges leads this workshop on making elegant jackets from sweatshirts. Thanks to those of you who wore your sweatshirt jackets to yesterday’s meeting!
Class participants will need a long-sleeved, crew neck, medium-weight sweatshirt with set-in (not raglan) sleeves. The ribbing should be removed from the cuffs and the bottom of the sweatshirt. Students will also need about 20 different fabrics in the palette of their choice. Some of the fabrics should be cut into 2.5 x 3.5-inch rectangles before the class. Scraps and “jellyrolls” work well. It’s important to have a variety of fabrics.
When you sign up for the class, you will get a handout with specific directions for preparing your sweatshirt and fabric before class.

Cost: $35
Get ‘Er Done Project
Thirteen people participated in the Get ‘Er Done Project of the Month for November, displaying their happily-finished small and large quilts, baskets, and table runners at the meeting yesterday. The Get ‘Er Done raffle winners were Lisa Taylor and Jan McQueen.
The lucky (or not) project number for display at the December meeting is #7 on your project list. Remember, if you can’t be at the December meeting, you can still get chance at the raffle: just give your project to a friend who will be at the meeting or send a picture of your completed project to Jane or Nancy.
One down! And as always, remember: “Finished is Better than Perfect!”
