A Few Updates – Finishing School & Show Boutique

Hello all,  just a few updates.

FINISHING SCHOOL

Finishing School will be meeting on July 27 from 10 to 4 at the Carriage House at the Lincoln County Historical Museum at 545 SW 9th St, Newport. It is a great time to work on a project without being interrupted . You may bring your machine or hand work we will have an iron there for you to use. You may come at any time and stay as long as you like. Bring a sack lunch or go out what ever you would rather do. It is also a great way to get to know other guild members and get help on a project that you need advice on. Fun time is had by all.

QUILT SHOW BOUTIQUE

Those members who are selling items in the boutique, during the quilt show, need to check their items in to staff members Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m..  We will ask for your Inventory Sheets and signed “Insurance Waiver & Assumption of Loss” form with your items for sale.   Be sure that you all have signed up for your required 2 hrs. of volunteer work for the privilege of being a Boutique vendor.  After the show closes Saturday, the boutique staff will be gathering items together and you are asked to remove your items from the sales room by 5:00 p.m.  If you are busy working to break down the show, you must assign someone else the responsibility to remove your unsold items (which we are hoping will be few) BY 5:00.
REMEMBER:
–You should never use straight pins on your items for sale.
–Label your totes/ display containers with your name.
–Make a copy of the inventory sheets for yourself to keep.
–Guild will retain 15% of your sales.
–Please call us if you have questions.
Thank you,
Gail & Jan
