Meeting Info, Block of the Month, and Workshop Signup

MEETING INFO  UPDATE
Masks are required at the in person meeting.  Agenda and explanation sent via email.  The general meeting of the Guild is Thursday, February 9th.  It is a hybrid meeting (in person at Atonement Lutheran Church Newport and via Zoom)  Table Walk is at 12:30 and the meeting begins at 1:00. Our program speaker is Sujata Shah who will join us via zoom and will talk about her journey as a quilter from India to America.  The Zoom link will be sent to members on Tuesday.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH
Starting in February, for five months we will be doing a “disappearing” series. February’s block is a disappearing pin wheel that turns into a churn dash with a pin wheel center.  All the blocks in the series will be either a disappearing pin wheel or a disappearing hour glass.  Check it out here.

WORKSHOP SIGNUP
Please sign up for the March 10, 9-4, workshop with Nancy Goldsworthy.
This is a chance to play with a wide variety of fun threads on your own machine.  Practice fancy stitches, bobbin work, learn how to couch ribbon, lace and other fibers.  All sewing levels will benefit.  No project to leave unfinished.  We need to fill 4 more spots to have the class, only $40.
