Looking Ahead … Again

If you are seeing this in your inbox, then I’ll celebrate because the blog is working as it should in spite of a few technical bumps along the way.  In the meantime, some pages have been populated.  Check out the retreat report under the Events tab.  Now here is what should have gone out five days ago…

As the new web site comes on-line and committee chairs are trained to update information in their area of responsibility, I would like to point out a few features that I hope you will find useful.  Under the Events tab at the top of the page, you will see “Calendar”.  Clicking there will bring you to the calendar for the current month.  Clicking on any particular day will display any additional information about the item – sometimes even a map and directions of how to get there!

  • Quilt Run 101 is underway until February 19th.  The next day after the run, Ruth is moving her shop (Family Fabrics) just across the street south of Subway and she would like to pass some savings on to you so beginning February 20th, all fabric in her old location will be 40% OFF!  This is good for our pockets and good for her back so that she doesn’t have to move so many bolts.  While you are there, take a look at the 2018 Raffle Quilt and buy a few chances to win and encourage your friends to do the same.
  • And finally for February, don’t miss the International Quilt Show in Yachats on the 24th and 25th from 10:00 to 4:00. Ninety small quilts from three countries will be displayed depicting 30 World Heritage Sites.  If you saw the World Master Painters show two years ago, you will know that you won’t want to miss this one.  Read all about the history of this display by clicking on the calendar for this event.  An added bonus is that KAREN DONOBEDIAN and LISA TAYLOR will have quilts on display and for sale as a side show.  And our Raffle Quilt will be there too encouraging many ticket sales – maybe even surpassing the Albany show record of 668?!

Pictures from last week’s “Show and Share” can be found under the Gallery tab.  That’s all for now, but check in often for new things posted as we come up to speed on the new web site.  Your comments and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!

Nan (for now), but Paula soon
