FINISHING SCHOOL

Finishing School will be meeting on June 22 from 10 to 4 at the Carriage House at the Lincoln County Historical Museum at 545 SW 9th St, Newport. It is a great time to work on a project without being interrupted. You many bring your machine or hand work we will have an iron there for you to use. You many come at any time and stay as long as you like. Bring a sack lunch or go out what ever you would rather do. It is also a great way to get to know other guild members and get help on a project that you need advice on. Fun time is had by all.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
Hello everyone.  Hope the summer is going well for all of you.  Starting in July, at the members meetings, you will be able to donate your items for the online Auction at the meeting.  Please include the paperwork from the WEB but if you have difficulty with it there will be some to fill in at the meetings.  If we are not at a table contact Velma Freudenthal, Ruth Hutmacher, or me.  We will be taking the items at the July, August, and September meetings.  We have already had some very lovely donations that will make our Guild Proud.
We will also have postcards available about the Auction that we wish our members to send to family and friends near and far.  The more publicity we have the better.  The Auction is from October 14th to the 31st, Halloween.  The timing is such that people may be thinking of Holiday gifts.
Thank you Chris Benedetti

APRIL RETREAT – PLAN NOW!

Hello Retreaters,

It’s a little early to pack your projects and PJ’s but not too early to start planning your retreat getaway! Retreat is scheduled for APRIL 23-26, 2024 at Aldersgate Camp & Retreat in Turner, OR. It will be here before we know it!

Your committee is working on retreat rates (which we guarantee will be less than last year for all options and 3 meals a day!). We are hoping for help from those of you who plan to attend and know which option you might be interested in. There will be 14 RV spaces with full hook up, meals included, which has never been offered before and will be at a considerable savings. We are hoping to hear from you regarding the option you are leaning toward; RV, single, double, triple or quad. (Don’ forget to include you roommates in this information, if you know them at this time.)

We hope to use the information regarding your choices to assist us in arriving at the 2024 retreat rates by July 13th (our next guild meeting).  Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.  Please call, text or email Gail Chipman at your earliest convenience!  Thank you very much!  See contact information below:
