Programs/Workshop Chairpersons, Ideally this would be comprised of  a committee of four.  Cindy McEntee talked to the group regarding the committee and reported that it works basically a year in advance, so the programs/workshops for next year are already scheduled.  She also reminded the group that a separate set-up committee has been formed.

Hospitality Additional members are needed to help provide the refreshments that are enjoyed at the meetings.

Community Quilters – Phoebe read the following written report from Sue Stephenson.

We currently have 55 quilts in inventory and have distributed 114 to several agencies this year.  This month we added the Gabriel Project, operated out of the Catholic Church in Newport.  We need finished quilts!  We are now getting a lot of requests for small quilts for kids to sit/lay on.  Any gender and any size up to lap quilt dimensions are needed.  We have several quilt “bundles” at our table (top, batting and backing) that just need to be sandwiched and quilted, either by machine or tied.  Thanks so much to our members from Lincoln City who are now handling the creation and distribution of quilts to Lincoln City agencies.  And especially to Pat Clark for sending an accounting of how many go where.  Our storage area at Ruth’s is overflowing, so we don’t need any fabric donations right now.  Thanks to all the members who have contributed in the past.  Once we use up some of what we have, I will be able and happy to accept your donations again.  Many thanks to our members who come to our first Thursday meeting to create such beautiful tops and bundles.

2019 Raffle Quilt – Cindy McEntee reported that 350 tickets were sold at the Potland Expo and many wonderful comments were received at the event.  The quilt will be bound and bejeweled and hopefully ready for reveal at the November guild meeting.  Ticket packets will be available for pickup at the November meeting.
