Bring your checkbook, credit card or cash as she will be selling quilt items to raise money for the registered 501 c3 charity, Quilts for Empowerment.

Their mission is to empower impoverished women and girls in Kenya, specifically women who have experienced fistula and girls who have experienced gender-based violence. They support women to gain the necessary skills in quilting and self-confidence to become economically independent and support girls to stay in school and continue their education.

In 2019, the financial success and stability of the quilting program enabled them to initiate a new program to house and educate girls who have experienced gender-based violence in Kenya. Come and hear the inspiring story of how women with fistula, impoverished and abused were taught to quilt to improve their lives.
