GUILD MEETINGS

NOTE: September meeting is in the EVENING

Sept 14, 5:30 Table Walk and 6 pm Guild Meeting.

The original speaker for September had to cancel due to a death in her family.  I have worked hard to come up with a substitute.  The decision is, “All things Kaleidoscope”.
Come and see how to make a Kaleidoscope quilt. Jan McQueen will tell you of her experience with those quilts and show some. She will tell how the next raffle quilt is being made.  Please bring any Kaleidoscope Quilts for Show and Share that you have made and tell us how wide you cut the strips? And what size triangle you used?  45, 60, or other?

Workshops
September
Jean Amundson’s “Beginning Machine Quilting”, has a few openings on Saturday, Sept 16, 9-4, only $40.  See Lynn Moody at Guild meeting to sign up.

October
Colleen Wise is coming to town to present Guild lecture, Casting Shadows, and a workshop.  Emerald City quilt is strip pieced, simple, elegant and has a 3 dimensional effect.
Colleen was recommended as a funny, exciting teacher so don’t miss out on our last workshop of the year.
Oct 13, 9-4, Emerald City Quilt, including pattern, $65.

See Lynn Moody at Guild meeting to sign up, get supply list and pay for this workshop.

ONLINE AUCTION

Hello Everyone
We’re closing in on the Online Auction.  This is just a last-minute reminder that we are close to the closing day for donations from all of you.  Remember the money made in this auction goes directly into our general fund.   It is a cushion in our budget to keep our dues low and continue our special work done for the community and the Veterans.  We could always use more quilts.  The ones we have will make you so proud.  The main depot is now in Newport so please contact Velma Freudenthal.  If you are closer to Yachats contact Viki West.  And if you are north contact Rosanne Berton in Lincoln City.  They are in the directory.  You can also call me for information 206-707-3919.
Thanks for your help.
