January 2026 Program and Class

For our January meeting (1/8/26) and workshop (1/9/26), the Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild will host Annette Duerr for a trunk show, “Bags and More Bags,” and a class, “The Perfect Cross Body Bag.”  The class will use the Myrna Cross Body Bag pattern by Sallie Tomato.  This bag is the perfect size for traveling or everyday use.  You’ll be surprised how much you can fit inside!  The bag features an adjustable crossbody strap, two exterior zipper pockets, an exterior slip pocket, boxed bottom, and is fully lined.  Finished size is 9″ wide, 10″ high, and 1-1/2″ deep.

The class costs $35 for guild members ($45 for non-members). You can buy a kit that includes pattern, cork for trim, fabric and hardware for $60.25.

There is still time to sign up and order a kit!  Contact Pamela Potter at quilterOCQG@gmail.com

Happy January Birthdays!

A big thank-you to all those birthday quilters who contributed snacks to our guild meetings last year! It sure was nice to have those snacks at our breaks!

We will continue the tradition in 2026. If you have a January birthday, and are willing and able, please bring a sweet or savory snack to the guild meeting on January 8th. One- to two- dozen pieces is plenty and snacks can be homemade or store-bought. Please let Laurie Downing know by text or email if you plan to bring a treat for the group, so she can plan ahead for the meeting.  We appreciate your contributions!
