It’s Membership Renewal Time!

It’s Renewal Time Again!
Once again it is time to renew your membership with the Oregon Coastal Quilters Guild. 
Dues are $25 for one year (starting Jan. 1, 2026), and if you would like to have your membership directory mailed to you, it is an additional $4. Dues should be received by December 31, 2025 so that production of the directory can get started.
Please download and fill out a Membership Application (even if you are already a member), and select any committee boxes that you are interested in participating in. We are a volunteer organization and rely on our members to help keep our guild able to provide activities for us. It’s also a great way to get to know more people in the guild. If you have no changes to your printed information since the last directory, just write in your name and write in large letters “No Change” and you don’t need to fill the top section out any further.

Saying “Thank You”: OCQG November Program –  Veterans Quilt Presentation 

Hi, Fellow Quilters!

The program this month will be introducing our guild members to a Veterans Quilt Presentation.  As you know,  we usually do this at the Siletz Grange.   We are honored and delighted that at this presentation we will be awarding quilts to eight women veterans!!

We hope you can come a bit early to greet them.  Viki will postpone some of the committee reports in order to begin earlier than usual.  Some of our veterans must get back to previous commitments.   

We hope you will join us in supporting our veterans and simply saying, “Thank You for Your Service!”  See you there.

Happy November Birthdays!

Thanks to all those birthday quilters who have contributed snacks to our Guild meetings this year! It’s sure nice to have those snacks at our breaks!

If you have a November birthday, and are willing and able, please bring a sweet or savory snack to the Guild meeting on November 13th. One- to two- dozen pieces is plenty and snacks can be homemade or store-bought. Please let Laurie Downing know by text or email if you plan to bring a treat for the group, so she can plan ahead for the meeting.  We appreciate your contributions!

Registration for 2026 Quilt Retreat Now Open

In case you missed it!

Registration for the April 21 – 24, 2026 retreat at Aldersgate is open!

The cost for inside rooms is $395; cost for RVs is $205. A $50 deposit will hold your spot; your deposit must be accompanied by a completed registration form. The forms are available on the guild website under Events, Retreat. We will also have blank forms available at the meeting.

The 2 ½ inch x wof strip exchange is polka dots. There will be a fabric
challenge again next year. The fabric will be available when you
register. This time those participating will receive two pieces of the
same fabric approximately 12” x 11”.

Registration will be open at the October, November, January, and
February guild meetings. Your final payment is due by February 12,
2026. You may also register by mail; send your completed form and
payment to Viki West, PO Box 349, Yachats, Oregon 97498.
