Community Quilts has a new Chairperson
Nancy Hoover has taken over coordination of Community Quilters from Lindanne and is busy learning the role.  We thank Lindanne for all of her hard work the past several years; she really helped us make a difference in our community.
Nancy is looking to gather information about ALL of the charitable donations that have been done in the name of the Guild:  bags, quilts, pillows, burp cloths, pillow cases, and ?  If you have made any donations, please let Nancy know what you donated, who the recipient was, and how many of each item was donated.  This will help her understand our impact in the community and where we might focus our time in the future.
She is in the update sheet of the directory or can be reached via email at nanhoov12@gmail.com.

A Note from the Membership Chairperson
I have received a request from a member, Anne Hendrickson, for some help. She belongs to another guild and they need to order membership pins. She wants to know where ours were purchased so that she can make inquiries.
I have looked through all of the info I received from Ruth Johnson, but I cannot find anything referring to the purchase of our guild pins. Do any of you have any information on this?
Thanks in advance!
Patti Stephens

Upcoming Program and Workshop

October 9 Meeting Topic:  The Story of the Murder Quilt!

Peggy Gelbrich will present.   A small, rural town in Oregon was the setting of a murder in 1915.  Learn about the love triangle that led up to the murder and the quilt that was created.

October 10 Workshop:  Carpenter’s Square

Peggy Gelbrich will teach. Full-day workshop 9:00-4:00. $65.  Confident Beginner.

Simple, straight stitching will create this Carpenter’s Square quilt
(59” x 59”). Like most quilts, it’s really an easy puzzle that’s made
up of two different blocks and pieced sashing. If you have a
carpenter in your life this would make a great gift.  Sign up TODAY!
