Executive Board Meeting
July 16, 2026

Meeting Quorum = 15 in attendance beyond President, which meets quorum requirements of a minimum of 12.
Meeting Called to order at 10:00a by Viki West.
Motion to approve May and June Executive Board Meeting Minutes was made by Cindy McEntee. Seconded by Barabara Kinzel. Voted and approved.
Treasures Report
Old business – Hotel pricing for guests in the area will be tabled until next month as Barbara was not able to get a report on pricing across hotels

Committee Reports
BOM – Joy Johnson – Not in attendance
Budget/Finance – Pat Laub – Nothing additional
Challenge – Darcy de la Rosa – Only 8 people completed the challenge which was disappointing from 25 signed up. The site is open for judging and voting.
Comm. Quilters – Nancy Hoover – Nothing new from last week. Seashore Literacy is now distributing quilts so this will be the central location.
Communications:

Documentation – Joanne Sedlacek – No real updates. September session is full.
Meeting Logistics
ZOOM – Darcy de la Rosa – Colleen Cunningham will be taking over in January.
Set-up – Jennette Buss –.Nothing to report
Hospitality – Laurie Downing – Nothing to add, August meeting is being done by the program committee.
Membership – Patti Stephens – Noted by Gail Chipman for Patti. Nothing to report; however, we are up to 182 members.
Merchandising – Penni Meyers – nothing new to report. Will have a big sale at the quilt show.
Programs/Workshops – Pamela Potter/Lynn Moody – Last meeting was successful. Took in $109 in the raffle tickets. Filling up 2027 program, and we have a new committee member (Colleen Cunningham).
Publicity (written) – Jane Szabo – Nancy Nash is supposed to be doing all the quilt show publicity, so I have only been handling the Facebook site.
2026 Quilt Show – Cindy McEntee – Nothing extra. The food thing is always a big struggle, and we think it is worked out. Maralee and Janet will be running the meeting this afternoon. Viki noted that Lincoln Animal Shelter will be at the August meeting to receive their check from the proceeds of the small quilt auction.
2027 Raffle Quilt – Barbara Kinzel – Thanks to committee for work.
Quilter’s Surprise – Debbie Mosley – Not in attendance
2026 Raffle Quilt Ticket Sales – Marianne – made $434 at Toledo’s Summerfest, and got one person for every slot I put down. Quilt at Coyote Creek and will then
Veteran’s Project – Rose Shaw – Thank you for quick response for the quilts needed to meet the quilt show effort. We have currently 37 applications for quilts but not sure all are valid. 11 veterans will be receiving quilts at the November meeting. To date approx. 736 quilts presented.

Meeting Called to order by Viki West at 6:02pm.
No vote on minutes as they were not on the website for May and June.

Announcements:
Penni Meyers is stepping down from Merchandising, so we will be looking for someone to take on that roll next year.
Program – Penni Meyers “Notions”
Penni was kind enough to share her shopping for new and unique notions for our possible next shopping trip. Then each of the items were raffled off with several people winning just what they wanted.
Hopefully a list of all the amazing items will be placed up on the blog in the coming weeks.
Committee Reports
2026 Challenge Quilts: Darcy de la Rosa. – Voting begins tomorrow and of the 25 that signed up we received 8 great quilts to be judged and voted on.
Community Quilters – Nancy Hoover – We now have 70 quilts set aside for the Head Start programs and I thank everyone who has contributed. Most of us have done a few quilts for charity but would like to recognize a few people who contributed heavily to make it possible to give so many to Head Start. I would like to mention a few by my list maybe a bit incomplete.
- Diane Merys has quilted over 30 quilts, partly in memorial to Barb Martin who started us working with Head Start.
- Lincoln City Quilters who have completed 11 quilts for guild projects in addition to 12 quilts and fleece blankets to support the Siletz Foster Kids and who continue to support guild projects.
- Ann Fletcher who has quilted 11 charity quilts so far this year.
- Wilma Roles, who is no longer a member of the guild but part of Bayshore has quilted 10 quilts for Head Start this year.
- Paulette Stenberg who pieced 40 of the charity quilts completed so far this year.
Documentation – JoAnne S.– One last session for year is scheduled for September 26th at the Newport Maritime Museum. There are a few openings between 2-3 in the later part of the afternoon.
Membership – Patti S.– 182. members as of today. 76 total attendances; 72 in room, 4 on Zoom. New members: Sherry Clyde, Jennifer Rosenbaum, Joey King Cortes, Joy Gutknecht Guests: Molly Forsberg from Mesa, AZ.
Merchandise – Penni M. – All the merchandise will be at the quilt show.
Quilt Show – Cindy M. – Quilt show all the quilts have been plotted out and it will look awesome. Still could use some help for setup and takedown. 205ish quilts in the show.
Marelee – need three more people for judging, need 2 for intake (1-3 on Monday), 4 for outtake on Saturday.

Boutique – Gail talked about how to fill out your tags and the forms required for the boutique. Check the web site for information if you were not in attendance or needed more assistance to understand.
Raffle Quilt 2026 Ticket Sales – Marianne – This is our first weekend at the Toledo festival. Still need some volunteers for this event that is this weekend. Recognition for Jane Szabo for Waldport Beachcombers Day, Jean Amundson for Heritage Days, Ellen Hawk for ticket sales at the
2027 Raffle Quilt – Barbara K. – Storm at Sea pattern with a whale applique.
2026 Retreat- Viki – Next year’s retreat will be April 20-23, 2027. Cost next year is $395 for an inside room and $225 for RV parking.
Veteran’s Project – Rose – We really need some machine quilters badly. Anyone that has 5 hours or so to quilt these. 746 given out to date. Appreciate any help we can get.
Workshops – Pamela:
August program – Quilt Show Ribbon Winners and Ice Cream Social.
September program – De-Stash Dance (silent auction to get rid of extra stuff)
November program – Linda Ballard Trunk Show and Class that is called Take 5 the cost is $65.

Show and Share:
- Colleen Cunningham – this is a 5-yard quilt. had it quilted with little animals by a place in Portland.
- Carrie Townsend – Shared a small modern quilt
- Paulette Stenberg– Shared 2 quilts, one is blues and yellows for taco night, 2cd – red and green it really had to mature it is flowers of different shapes.
- Elizabeth Morrill – 24 years ago it was a friendship quilt.
- Melanie Patterson – Button box pattern that started 5 years ago. Pumpkin Spice Lattice
- Chris Alexander – shared multiple quilts top from precut books from Missouri Star (all from 2 1/2 “Strips, and 10” Squares)
- Ann Best – Potato Chip Block Quilt.

May 14, 2026
Meeting Called to order by Barbara Kinzel at 6:01pm.

Announcements:
Nancy Nash is looking for someone to take over the blog responsibilities.
Thank you from Lincoln County Historical Society for the $700.00 donation.
Program:
Barbara Kinzel – “Quilt Myths from History”
Myths are a reality of life. Most of the quilt myths that I researched started
in America. They talk about our dreams and goals.
Committee Reports:
2026 Challenge Quilts: Darcy de la Rosa. –Check the website if you have
questions. Picture and story due by June 1 to Nan. The physical quilt must
be handed to Pat Laub before or at the June meeting in a nondescript bag.
Quilts will be displayed during June and July meetings, voting will be
online.
Community Quilters: Nancy Hoover – April donations are as follows:
Two quilts to Samaritan House, four pillows to Seashore Literacy, ten pillows to
SCPH infusion center, Seven adult bibs to Veteran’s Home. SPCH Labor and
Delivery: 39 quilts, 30 receiving blankets, nine burp clothes, one knitted cap.
It should be noted that SCPH is averaging between 25-30 babies a month.
There are several quilts that need binding or quilting. If you are willing to
quilt some, the priority is 40″ to 50″ ones, though I do have a couple
bigger quilts ready to be quilted. We have 43 quilts for Head Start fall, out of the 60-75 the programs are hoping we’ll have in late August or September.
Pamela has Siletz kits available for assembly also at this meeting.
Documentation: JoAnne S.– Saturday May 23. . A few openings – see me
at break if interested. North Lincoln Museum.
Membership: Patti S.– 175 approx. members as of today. 65 total
attendances; 57 in room, eiight on Zoom. New members: Chris Alexander,
Guests: Anne Laurence (Gae’s daughter from Brownsville)
Merchandise: Penni M. – Bumper sticker, all the different guild panels,
several bags which are all $5 off tonight.
Quilt Show: – Cindy M. –
Pamela – There is a quilt board going around to sign up to volunteer. Will have details on the website under Quilt show.
Meralee – Sign-up sheet going around. Monday (intake), Tuesday (judging
support), Wednesday (judging support), Thursday (Set-up)/Saturday (Take
Down)
Darcy – Registration is now open. Currently only 16 quilts registered.
Diane – Sponsor Ribbons. $10 each that you can put on a colleague’s quilt
of your choice.
Raffle Quilt 2026 Ticket Sales – Marianne – Cotton Patch in Keizer has it
currently. Will need volunteers for Toledo Summer Fest in July.
2027 Raffle Quilt – Barbara K. – Storm at Sea pattern with a whale
applique. Twin Size. Please return your checked out packets to Lindanne
in the back by end of meeting if possible.
2026 Retreat:-Viki – Next year’s retreat will be April 20-23, 2027.
Veteran’s Project :Rose – Vacation is over and we are back to work. In
two weeks (fourth Thursday) we will be working. During May workday
around 2 pm we will have presentation to eight veterans. Currently have three
quilts that need to be quilted.
Workshops: Pamela and Lynn:
All-Star Sampler Platter is May 16 and 17 (will be available 7 days after)
all online classes.
June program – Modern Quilt Trunk Show.
July program – What to do with our notions.

Paula Brown – this is for my third granddaughter. First curved piecing
that was all hand quilted.
