Veterans Project

As of April 11,  the Veterans Quilt Committee  has given 29 quilts this year alone, and a total of 584 quilts given to veterans in Lincoln County to date.

We are grateful to the Siletz Grange for donating our sew-in space, which is in the midst of a  kitchen and restroom remodel.

We’ll be ready to hold our next presentation on June 19 in a fresh, new space!

In case you weren’t sure what a “Porch Drop” is, here are a few photos of our crew delivering quilts to deserving veterans in spite of the pandemic.  Everyone stays safe and we can brighten someone’s day, as well as our own.

Quilts awarded November 21, 2019

Three years ago our quilt guild decided we would like to honor and thank all of the veterans that we could by giving them a quilt.  We believe that all veterans are deserving no matter where or when they served.  So far we have given out more than 100 quilts, but we know there are many more veterans out there who deserve a quilt.

In November we gave away 10 quilts to veterans from the Longview Hills Fishing Club.
