Reminder from Quilt Show Registrar

Members: Make Your Quilts Count! 

Remember, registration of quilts for the quilt show ends Saturday, July 4th. There are currently 145 quilts registered: our goal is 200.  HOWEVER, before registering unfinished quilts, please be absolutely positive that your quilt will be completed–with hanging sleeves and labels attached–by July 27 when they need to be dropped off at the Fellowship Hall at Atonement Lutheran (where we have our monthly guild meetings) between 1-3 PM.

The paper label needs to be attached in the lower RIGHT corner of the quilt (as you are looking at the back of the quilt). A 4-inch hanging sleeve (see instructions on Page 10 of your membership directory) is required for most entries.

Both the paper label and the hanging sleeve must be SEWN onto your entry, NOT PINNED. If quilts are dropped off with any pins (straight or safety), you will be asked to sew them down before being accepted.

REMEMBER, we will be laying out the show on July 6th. Quilts that are withdrawn after layout is completed cause HUGE headaches for those “hanging” the show on Thursday of show week as there are holes to fill.  PLEASE don’t be THAT person.  Thank you!
